Target users

The wheat data interoperability guidelines will be useful for data generators and users, both individual and organisational. That is, those who create, use, store, process or access wheat data. In particular, data managers and database designers responsible for wheat data will find the guidelines of great use for determining specific formats for recording and storing wheat data. Additionally, any individuals working with wheat data without the support of organisational data management will be able to use the guidelines to ensure that the formats with which they are working will guarantee the highest level of interoperability with collaborators, as well as maximizing the future utility of their work.
Other target users are those who plan on designing tools for working with wheat data, such as visualisation or analysis software. Making design decisions based on agreed standards will broaden the applicability of such tools, and allow a greater number of users to use them without the burden and complication of navigating additional data format requirements.
